Version 3.4. Drive and motor offering is expanded to include medium voltage drives product portfolio and LV large motors product portfolio.

More applications are added:

  • Shore to ship, separators, scrubbers, thrusters, propulsion systems and shaft generators applications for marine industry

3/2020 - 3.1

Version 3.1 comes with several improvements and new functionalities. The main new features are enhanced logic for additional search criteria and the ability to directly select a product from the comparison chart. The motor offering has been expanded to include several new motor families.

1/2020 - 3.0

From good to great. ABB Drive Selector selection software tool has been upgraded from good to great as the version 3.0 is now also able to recommend low voltage IEC motor family class, in addition to drives and softstarters. The software has been correspondingly renamed to ABB Drive and Motor Selector.

In addition to LV IEC motor recommendations there are plenty of new articles and other educative marketing materials available via the software version 3.0. Furthermore, "Power Generation" has been added as an industry with corresponding product recommendations.

Full support of Internet Explorer has been discontinued. For the best experience, it is recommended you use the latest version of Firefox, Chrome, Safari or Microsoft Edge.

11/2019 - 2.2

Version v2.2 comes with several improvements and new functionalities. The main new feature is the localization. Selector is now available in German language. The language of the UI can be changed in the main page of the application. Completed the portfolio of drives with support of ultra-low harmonic segment drives for HVAC and for water & wastewater. Added the newly launched 200V series of general-purpose drives.

9/2019 - 2.1

In response to user feedback, version v2.1 adds the possibility to configure and build the complete drive type code based on the configuration options chosen. In addition to an expanded offering which includes microdrives, ABB Drive Selector is now also a progressive web application which can be installed and used like a native mobile application. It supports on a variety of devices and application sizes.

8/2019 - 2.0

The new version of the selection tool is loaded with new features and capabilities like support of regional product offering, ABB softstarter products, and service offering.

4/2019 - 1.0

ABB Drive Selector global and general availability announced. Drive Selector is an easy-to-use tool that guides customers to find recommended drive series quickly based on four simple questions. These questions include country, industry, application, load power and supply voltage. The tool also provides links to content specific educative materials like case and applications notes, videos and to all relevant product documentation.

ABB Drive Selector is compatible with all web browsers: Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, and MAC OS Safari.
